Right of withdrawal, return, exchange
At MODO, you have a 14-day right of return. This means that from the time you received the item, you have 14 days to return it if you regret your purchase. If you return it within 14 days, you will get your money back. For in-store pickup, the right of withdrawal begins 5 business days after the order is registered and you are notified that the package is ready for pickup.
This requires that the item is unused and that all original tags and price tags are still attached as when you received the item. Items with odors, marks, or anything beyond normal trying on of the item will be considered a used product. Underwear cannot be tried on and then returned.
How do I return an item?
We accept returns on items in their original condition within 14 days of receiving the item. You have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the day you received the item in accordance with applicable consumer protection laws. For in-store pickup, the right of withdrawal begins 5 business days after the order is registered and you are notified that the package is ready for pickup. If you wish to exercise your right of withdrawal, please create a return case here. You will receive the return label after creating a return case on our return page. Please note that the return label is not pre-paid, and 99 NOK will be deducted from your refund.
How do I exchange an item?
If you wish to exchange an item for another product, you must create a return case here within 14 days of receiving the item and place a new order for the desired item. We will credit you for the item you return to us. You get 1 free exchange per order and will not be charged for return shipping.
Remember! If you have purchased with an invoice and return items after the payment deadline, it is important that you pay your invoice. The amount will be refunded as soon as we receive your return.
You have the option to postpone the due date of your invoice by 10 days when you have purchased with Klarna Invoice. You can do this via Klarna's website or the Klarna app. Please note that it is not possible to postpone the due date after it has already passed.
If the item is damaged when you receive it, you can send it back and get a refund. If you want to exchange the item for a different color or size, you must return the order and reorder.
If your return is approved, we will refund the money using the same payment method as for the original order.
If we receive an item in an unsuitable condition, the return will be invalid, and you will receive the item back.
Returns can take up to 10 days to be received and processed. Once the return is processed and approved, you will be refunded the money in the same way as for the original order. It can take up to 5 business days for the money to appear in your account, depending on the payment method.
THE RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL DOES NOT APPLY TO:
- Tailoring
- Items adjusted by a tailor
- Sealed items where the seal has been broken
- Underwear/swimwear and earrings
UNCOLLECTED PACKAGES
If a package is not collected or received at the agreed delivery location, we reserve the right to charge for the costs incurred by us.
If you do not pick up your package at the post office and the order is returned to us, you will be charged 300 NOK in total for shipping costs.
All attempts at fraud will be tracked and reported to the police.
CANCELLATION OF ORDER / TECHNICAL ERROR
MODO AS reserves the right to cancel a purchase without reason. We also have the right not to fulfill an order if the item is out of stock or due to any technical errors. We reserve the right for items to be available in the online store even if they are sold out. In such cases, your order will be cancelled, and you will be notified by our customer service.
EXCHANGING A CHRISTMAS GIFT?
Orders placed between November 14th and December 20th, 2025, have an extended right of exchange valid until January 8th, 2026. This means the package must be submitted to Posten by January 4th, 2026. If the item was purchased in one of our physical stores, the exchange deadline is January 4th, 2026.
Refunds will be processed as usual, 14 days after receipt of the package, in accordance with applicable consumer protection laws, but the right of exchange is until January 8th, 2026.
If the gift recipient wishes to exchange the item they received, they must contact us at kundeservice@modostore.no, provide the order number, and return the item by January 4th, 2026. The gift recipient can either exchange for another item or receive a credit note. The credit note can be used on all of modostore.no, excluding discounted items. The credit note is valid for 1 year.
